Any word on if Outside AI FTP detection is in the works? Serious answers here, no complaints, as there more than enough in a variety of threads. I am just curious.

My understanding is that it already looks at outdoor rides.

I let AT FTP continue to estimate my FTP through a summer of non-structured outdoor rides and by fall, it still thought I basically had the same FTP I had when I came out of the previous spring’s structured training. Both it and garmin agreed within a few percent honestly. I jumped back into struct…

Hmm not sure if anyone knows but is there a way to get AI FTP to ignore my outside rides? I know the outside Power data is not the only data point etc, but my power readings outside are 50W higher than indoors so I’m afraid it’ll be wildly inaccurate, even if it was just used as a data point.

If you go into “edit” for a ride you’ll get this box [image] You can de-select AI FTP Detection. I’m not aware of a way to globally ignore all outdoor rides for AI FTP.

Thanks for this! Will use this for future rides, but there’s no way I can do this for past rides since there’s so many :confused: I just joined TR last week tho (but it’s imported all my old rides from Strava), so still pending my AI FTP (10 indoor rides)

If you just joined there’s no need to worry about editing your older rides. I think AI FTP is only going to look at the previous 28 days to come up with an FTP. Welcome aboard!
