Is anyone else getting this error? I get it only in chrome on my phone. But sort of annoying as I need to clear cache to resolve.
Yes, only on my iPad. Also need to clear the cache to fix (not happening with any other sites, only TR).
Same issue. Not sure exactly when it started but it was fairly recent and have needed to clear the cache a couple times. Edge browser on iPhone
Had this issue on my iPad and my laptop a few days ago. Deleted the history and cookies for the day on both devices and everything has been fine since. It was very odd, though.
Ok this is interesting. TR broke for me randomly last night but only on a specific User Profile in Vivaldi. It seems to work on other browsers and other user profiles in Vivaldi but haven’t managed to fix this one. I figured it was just on my end but I wonder if some external glitch corrupted something for all of us.
In addition to website forum blank page issues I’ve had to delete and reinstall discourse multiple times in the last couple weeks. I only use it for the TR forum, so can’t compare to any other uses.
I also ran into this error using chrome on my mac, i cleared all browsing/cookies/cached etc and and it fixed it, but annoying to have to re-sign into everything on my browser.
Can’t load the website and forum on PC at work from Mozilla, doing fine with Opera.
Had this a few days ago but it disappeared again quickly. I believe they rolled out a new version of the forum (see e.g. different looking „solution" highlighting on solved topics) which may be the cause of the cache problem. Just clear the website data once for every browser you use and you should be fine until the next update ![]()
Lost my NYT Wordle and Connections streaks. So I was hoping that wasn’t the long term solution. It fixed itself this time.
Maybe to clarify, though it’s probably too late for you and your streak: I was only talking about the cache data of this particular website, not the whole browser cache. Pretty much any modern browser on any device should provide an option to only delete data for a given website. Deleting it should not affect any other websites or the data they stored in the cache.
I wasn’t thinking about Wordle when I reset it all. Figured it was a good spring cleaning.
Hey y’all,
I’m just hoping to confirm where this was happening.. Was it on the forum, or the general TR website?
Please share:
- The URL you were using when it broke
- Screenshots if possible
- Whether clearing cache fixed it
- Your browser and device info
- Roughly when it started/when it stopped
Thanks!!
I had to clear my cache too. Thought I was banned at first.
url used TrainerRoad - Cycling & Training Forum
Safari browser
started a bit before OP posted.
- TrainerRoad - Cycling & Training Forum
- I added it in the first post, the name of the file that its attempting to download changes sometimes.
- It fixed it, it also has resolved itself on its own. Yesterday on my phone I couldn’t access on Chrome, but I could on safari. Later in the night, Chrome worked fine.
- Chrome on an iPhone.
- Its been happening off and on for about 2 to 3 weeks. Then maybe 2 days ago it was always until I cleared my cache.
- TrainerRoad - Cycling & Training Forum
- No screenshot but it would show a blank page and download a file name download.txt
- Clearing cached fixed it. It did occur a couple more times but not in a few days at least
- Edge browser on iPhone 16 pro
- May have started early last week and I feel like it stopped at the beginning of this week.
Happened a few days ago (don’t remember the exact date) for both sides:
Accessed via Safari on an iPhone 17 and worked again after clearing the TR specific browser data. Didn’t take a screenshot, but matched other descriptions of a blank white page.
As mentioned before, after the pages worked again I noticed what looked like a minor UI update in the forum. If that isn’t just my impression maybe it helps narrowing down the date.
That’s a different kind of problem. In the first picture it says HTTP Error 429, which usually indicates that your browser made too many requests to the server and it started rejecting them. Given that edge is basically Chrome in blue and the pages work in Chrome, you must have configured your Edge badly somehow. Have you tried accessing via Edge in a private tab? Those usually disable all cookies and plugins and if it works you at least limited down the area of the problem a little.
I’ll give that a try, thanks!
