Numbness in ring finger and pinkie after long ride

I switched to riding a recumbent to solve this issue. Seemed to hit me regularly for rides longer than 3 hrs

Thanks. Ordered a pair of those. We’ll see if they make a difference.

out of interest could you show what it says for tingling in the median nerve region? (which I always get)

One other idea to consider…go up a size in gloves. Tight fitting gloves on the fingers acn restrict blood flow sometimes. I have found that what “fits” for me based on size charts in practice is uncomfortable.

Or the opposite - I’ve found with slightly too large gloves the loose body can get tugged back, causing the material between fingers, or between finger and thumb, to cut in like there was a rubber band around that area.

Fair point - so let’s revise to “check the fit of your gloves to see if they are too tight or too loose”.

Wow, clearly I need to get this book. This describes my problem pretty exactly. Thanks for posting this!

I did order the non-padded Hand up gloves last year and have been using them whenever weather allows

The numbness did go away pretty quick, but remember that the hoods also got turned in, so hard to say what contributed to the numbness disappearing.

The build quality seems OK . After a few wear and wash cycles, the gloves have gotten quite loose.

I’d buy them again

Thanks for the recommendation @Pbase

I finally installed some aerobar earlier this spring. What a joy, especially when riding against the wind.
They are also much more comfortable than I had expected ( I use 30 mm risers).
By my estimate I can go .5-1 mph faster with same output.

Should have added aerobars a long time ago.
Thanks @mcneese.chad!
