I’m in Sacramento, anybody else feel the earthquake just now?
In Folsom, didn’t feel anything
Yep. Felt it here in Reno.
My wife is over at I-5 and Garden Highway, on the 2nd floor, and she felt it.
Was worried it was a big one in the Bay Area.
My office is on the 2nd floor of our house, it shook 3 or 4 times + a small noise, and the pool had ripples coming from the skimmer. Still seeing ripples in the pool almost 10 minutes later.
Update: spouse on the toilet felt it
I’m in EG.
In SF near the zoo, no earthquake felt
yeah, probably a bit too far.
A few seconds after the shaking stopped, I got a pic of the pool from my upstairs office:
checkout the ripple pattern near the skimmer!
There was another earthquake a few years ago, I believe it was somewhere near Mammoth Mountain or Yosemite (can’t recall). We were working outside on the weekend, and didn’t feel it, but I noticed the pool water was slowly sloshing back and forth, like a big bath tub. So I said “did we just have an earthquake?” and a minute later the DJ on The Eagle came on and reported the earthquake.
5.7 near Lake Almanor. Lots of people in Reno freaking out. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley…was in Northridge for the 6.7 in '94…thought the ground was going to open up and swallow us. I didn’t feel the 5.7…
My daughter in Sparks was at work and mad she didn’t feel it.
Felt it in Rancho Cordova.
I was lifeguarding at a pool in the early 80:s in Santa Clara. There was like a 6 in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
I swear I saw nearly one foot waves in the concrete deck.
The pool sloshed for a good, long time.
I’ve been on the road for all the ones around here. Arrived at a client’s office and everyone was freaking out, kept asking me if I felt it. ‘Felt what?’ Some of the doors were still swinging…
Lived in Tacoma for a few years while a youngling, and there was a 'big earthquake there that freaked me to the core. stuff falling off the walls, mom freaking out, there was some damage. Can’t remember the year, but it was impressive…
The neighbors were like
