Reviving an old conversation… I broke three ribs, 8,9 and 10 with one displaced. This was just about three weeks ago. The ribs are feeling much better, but my lats and obliques are experiencing major tightness and also fatigue very easily in the evenings. Oddly enough, the bike feels pretty good though. Has anyone had any experience with this collateral pain in the back associated with a rib injury? Any tips? I’m not sure if I should stretch? PT? Flexeril (muscle relaxant)? I did see my GP and he advised to wait a week then seek PT if it’s not getting better which is my plan. I’m posting to see if anyone had similar experiences. Thank you.
