it is interesting that it will launch (if true) after the big black Friday / cyber Monday sales etc. Maybe that is to avoid that part of the sales year?

We’ll see big sales on the old stuff and then most people will learn there is a new one right after…I wish there were an upgrade price.
Weirdly no video of this unit in use. Plus photos are really poor quality. If they are indeed photos rather than fake. Doesn’t sound like anyone bought anything.

I used an OG Bolt for a number of years before switching to Garmin 840 (needed better battery life and wanted better mapping as well as Climb Pro). But I really miss a lot of Wahoo features like using the phone app to adjust the fields on the computer, the “zoom” function for each data field screen, and I found that Wahoo was a little bit faster and more reliable at sending ride files than Garmin connect
I’m interested to see everything Wahoo comes up with. Could be tempted to jump back to that side after being on Garmin the past couple years

I’m buying this for sure. I’ve been a Wahooligan since my Garmin lost my ride 40 miles in, around 2012 or so!!! Haven’t looked back, except the time I tried using a Garmin in 2023 on a Trek Travel tour, and it was way too finicky
A bit worried this Wahoo will be touch screen as that was what the Garmin had going against it…
At least they kept the buttons in addition to the touchscreen. Who knows, maybe you’ll be able to disable it for any screen that isnt map viewing.

£550 in the UK, thanks but no thanks. And why is there so much dead screen space at the bottom of it? Either have full touch screen or keep the buttons. One or the other IMO.

I was really tempted to buy one of these, but hard freaking pass after watching Ray’s video.
@dcrainmaker “The most unbaked bike computer to date”…which is saying something given that Coros Dura had a pretty firm grip on that title.
Over 1/2 lbs for a bike computer??? LOL…pass.
Pretty disappointed overall…so many cool features that I would really like (if executed properly)

I would say the Wahoo ACE has more of a solid base in some critical areas - mapping, routing, rerouting and climbs than the COROS DURA did at launch or even now. It’s… everything else that is problematic.
It also doesn’t help that things are moving into the Wahoo app away from the ELEMNT app, so that also has to concurrently be done - you’re not just implementing features in ACE but also the app.
