This really sucks. I loved the event (i raced the 50k run but volunteered for the 100k mtb race the next day). Well run and great people. Spoke with several Lifetime employees, while I was volunteering, and they were very happy with the number of people who registered this first year of their event.
Without it being a Leadville qualifying race, I’m not sure I’ll go back, and I imagine a lot of other people will view it the same. I had intended to return for the 50k run in 2026, but will not do so now. It is a 5+ hour drive from my house, and without the opportunity to get into Leadville, there’s no reason for me to skip 50k events much closer to home.

i had the same thought. It seemed a good qualifier, and i enjoyed how it was run. Probably will not return if its not a qualifier as i have other races at that time.
