Any advice? I don’t really have anything else to add to it.

Are you sure your performance is actually poorer? Whenever my volume is higher my legs also feel week and heavy for a long time. However, when I actually do my intervals I find they open up quite quickly. And the second interval is basically on a normal level/rpe.
IDK. I’m getting pretty old and it seems I’m dying on the bike until about an hour in and then I start feeling better and can start going harder. I don’t know what it is but I’m definitely very weak and slow.
For me usually not an hour, but at least 30 minutes.
Are you getting enough recovery between workouts. You don’t have any new stressors?
Welcome to the world of the gray hairs, or no hairs as the case maybe. More warm up time, more recovery time. The worst is when we have a coffee stop. Off we go and I’m dead for the first 15 min.
As long as you are not over trained and eating well , it’s probably normal.
You could try a caffeinated beverage before that workout. Might help jump start the old ticker.
As I am getting older, I am finding the same. It’s about 5 miles on the mountain bike for me before I feel strong. I’ve started showing up 45 min before the group rides just to warm up so I can keep uP out of the gate. And yes, I’m prefueling, hydrating, all of the things. It just seems to come with the getting older. Once I’m warm, all is good. But I need that warmup time now.
Who here has caught covid and did this feeling extremely week at first on the bike come after?
Yep. Climbing, that’s about an hour for me. That’s when I feel the worst. If I keep going easy, I start picking up steam and start feeling stronger and stronger.
