For years my TR calendar was synced with my desktop Outlook calendar. It was brilliant if i updated the TR calendar the revision was immediately obvious.
However about a year ago it disappeared. I’m basically lost without it, I don’t get the daily reminders of what I ought to be doing, and the result is I miss Workouts, get frustrated, and then angry with TR because they can’t fix the issue.
MS Office (which includes Outlook) used to be a separate application that was loaded onto your desktop, then MS changed that to make it annual fee based, initially on each device, then packaged that it could be used on multiple devices depending on your annual contract, changed the name Office 365. More recently MS has created a web based version of 365. This isn’t the same application that resides on your desktop. I suspect it is this MS change that has buggered up the syncing of TR with desktop Office 365 users, ie, that TR syncs to the web based app, but not to desktops. They probably need different, separate syncing processes?
Am I alone or this a widespread issue for all desktop Office users?
You can’t import the webcal:// scheme. Outlook doesn’t support this, probably because its not an official scheme. But it’s an easy fix. On the importer just add or replace https:// rather than webcal://
You can import the calendar, but can’t see your rides. In that case the calendar is probably there, but not enabled. If so just make sure the checkbox is selected.
I don’t know what the first screen you display is? It doesn’t look my desktop Outlook. Neither does the second. Is this the web based version of Outlook, ie, not the desktop?
Trainer road is listed as an active calendar, and always has been. But no entries!
It’s the desktop version. A pre-release one so I’m not too surprised yours looks different. But is works in an older version too. Still newish, I work for Microsoft so I get what they give me. When you say the Trainer rode calendar is listed as active, can you show me? See the little check box. Is that set?
When I do a manual Send/Receive for mail etc. I get an error saying it has failed to get the TR calendar. The message only flashes on the screen, I don’t know how get a static version of the error message?
