The Lasko is great. My one complaint is that even on the lowest setting it is pretty strong. I wish there was one level lower for those easier workouts when I want some air movement, but don’t need the full blast! ![]()
Thanks for finding this. I just ordered one, so once I get it and use it for a bit I will post a review. Here’s hoping this was a good purchase ![]()
Sweet! Can’t wait to hear what you think ![]()
I posted this elsewhere, but I’m putting it here as this thread looks more current.
Like many, I use the Lasko Pro blower fan. But I’ve always wanted to redirect its airflow from horizontal to vertical to match the surface area of a cyclist on the bike. Similar to what all the more expensive cycling-specific fans do (such as Wahoo).
I reached out to a maker on Etsy who makes 3D-printed parts for power tools and nozzles for leaf blowers. After sharing some information, they voluntarily tracked down the same Lasko fan and kindly reverse-engineered a nozzle that bolted onto the Lasko blower and redirected the airflow.
If you’ve been seeking a solution like this for your Lasko fans, here’s a link to the product page on Etsy. (I’m not affiliated with the maker/seller of this adapter. I’m just passing on their info since they helped me with my novel cycling-related request).

Based on my experience testing the Jetblack Trainer Fan I would have gone for a wider “nozzle”. I found the narrow nozzle on the Jetblack made it not that useful given my paincave setup.
Maybe I have a wide tush, but I don’t have a problem with the orientation of my Lasko fans. The width of the air channel matches the width of my body. I did elect to place the fans differently to most: one is directly behind me, on a drink cart, blowing at my glutes, with some air diverting up my back and the rest down my hammies. This is nice because it hits a lot of surface area without getting in my face (eyes/lips), and it’s easier to tolerate right off the bat before I get warmed up fully.
The second fan which I only enable after I start to suffer is hanging directly in front of me at eye level but tilted down towards my neck, chest and core. I don’t think I’m wasting any airflow from that one either.
Just throwing this out there as an idea for others to try out.
I also found a surge protector on Amazon where every plug is individually switched. I have situated it such that I can reach it from my bike and don’t have to worry about remote controls getting lost or running out of batteries.
Need some advice!
I currently have (2) Lesko 4905 units (These)
I am looking to use one of the 4905 units for my wife (treadmill/trainer) and displace it with a new unit. The (2) 4905 felt like I had enough airflow/force but just barley.
So which unit should I go with now?
or
I am not getting a very strong feeling from commentors as which will be better, both fans will be in front of the bike either directly or at an angle (doesn’t matter) and can go around 3’ from the end/front of tire and has slight able up to hit top chest and head/face.
Thanks guys!
As an unrequested suggestion, this model seems a decent option with tilt control and between the price point of both above.
Thanks Chad - I fixed the mistake (still groggy when I started typing).
I looked at the U15617 also but from what I read above its a little narrow.
I grabbed this image from enki42
It would seem that the U15617 is less powerful than the 4905 that I have but the 15720 I feel is rated the way it is because it is around 3" wider (which may be some of the issues I was having before, the 4905 being somewhat narrow).
