Look Power Pedals-what are your thoughts?

Okay, I think I am ready to pull the trigger on the dual sided assiomas today. Based on all the help here, it sounds like I shouldn’t have any issues switching between them and my traditional looks as far as fit and Q factor, assuming I actually get the look ones and not the Shimano ones lol. For one last verification here’s a picture of my current looks on my BMC. If they don’t fit right I’m blaming the forum!;:joy::wink:

Fair.

I finally received my pedals, and got them installed. I have only had a couple rides on them, but everything feels great. For anyone who has used these before, have you had any issues with calibration? I calibrated them through the app, and I do so through my wahoo head unit each ride. However, it feels like power numbers are reading lower than they should based on my two other power sources. Every time I calibrate it says zero torque offset. My other power meters would give a number like 876, and would very a little bit each ride depending on weather conditions and so on. Any idea if that’s how these are supposed to zero out?

Thanks for the help @mcneese.chad but I think I have a legit problem with them.
I have felt like the pedals are reading really low despite checking everything (factory calibration, then the 0 offset calibration each ride, checking crank length in the app, etc).
I decided to really test the pedals in an apples to apples comparison on a climb that I have done literally hundreds of times (it’s the one I am using for Everesting prep). With my other power meters the climb takes me about 4:15-4:30 at around 330 watts. Bumping the wattage up to 342 gets me a time of 4:12 or so.
I went out today on the new pedals and set out to ride at 342, then 330, testing my times for both. The 342 wattage got me a time of 3:30. THAT’S 45 SECONDS FASTER ON A FOUR MINUTE CLIMB! I then went back down, grabbed my backpack that toatled five bottles, all my equipment, food, phone, etc (meaning I weight a lot more) and did it at 330. I should mention there was a blistering headwind today when my other attempts were in neutral/warm weather. At 330 I did it in 3:45, another 30 to 45 seconds faster!
I’m going to contact Favero support, but has anyone experienced something like this with the pedals? I really felt like my power has been down since I used them, but I’m beginning to think it’s not me, it’s the pedals. No wonder I’ve felt completely wiped out after my outdoor workouts the past two weeks :stuck_out_tongue:
My test ride today is still trying to upload, but here is a picture of when I did it on my other bike with the known power meter:

Did you ever resolve the issue?

My Assiomas read perfectly well, in agreement with power2max spider power Meter and a Direto XR-T Trainer – in both cases used simultaneously…

Maybe your other PM is reading high?
Like old Stages, etc.

I thought that my assioma duos were a fraction lower than expected compared to my quarq so I did some research. I have a quarq dzero on my gravel bike and a Tacx neo 1. I put them all on the same indoor bike and tested for a few weeks. Took the bike outside and did some more tests and found the duos were around 3% lower than my quarqs. The Tacx neo 1 (low flywheel speed) was spot on with the assiomas.

I adjusted the slope of the quarqs and tested for a few months both indoors and outdoors and found them to be as close to a perfect match to my duos and Tacx.

I guess what I’m saying is that your duos might be reading low, or your other sources might just be reading high.
