"Limited data" in estimated FTP

Bit of an odd one, but at the FTP refresh I got this warning

The reason I think it’s odd: I’ve consistently been training over the last four weeks, indoor rides using TR, and outdoor rides for endurance work. Surveys completed, and all outdoor rides have power and HR data synced to TR.

My total volume is around 12 hours per week - so hardly a limited data set!

What is the trigger for this?

Hey @Twattsvelo

Is this still happening, and if so, can you provide me a little more info on what steps you took to get this banner and if you’re on mobile/computer/web/app?

Hi - It happened this morning in the AI FTP estimate workflow, so i can’t repeat for another 28 days!

For further background: I had the same message a month prior, but as I’d had a week off assumed it was valid at that point in time.

Environment:

  • Android App (2026.10.2.92720)
  • Pixel 9a
  • Connected to home WiFi

Let me know if there’s anything else you need to help debug.

Okies, thank you! I’ll take it to the team and let you know

Just to clarify, did this appear when the AI FTP Detection was due but then resolved itself?

I also got this message on Wednesday. It was my scheduled AIFTP day. It was on the app. On Android. The number matched prediction. I happened to have the screenshot saved in case something seemed out of place, but it doesn’t. Just puzzling.

It showed up after presenting the new FTP, exactly as the other commenter shows (I should have taken a screenshot of the whole screen, not just the error :person_facepalming:)

Thank you guys! We’ve gotten a few more reports on this, so taking a look!

Hi @Caro.Gomez-Villafane ,

Same issue here this morning…

So, is the AI FTP Detection correct ?

Thanks.

Bruno

Hey! @brnfox

Yes, just checked it and it’s correct.

Thanks!

Welcome!

Hi - Just flagging this back up as I have just received the same message.

Apart from two missed days, my calendar has been consistent and normally involves 6 days training with power data!

Most of my training is now outdoors, if that makes any difference.
