I’m in again. I went the camp route with a friend, so I’ll see anyone there who did the same.
Base season finishing up this month before I nuke myself with a VO2 block.

After a 9:02 last year, setting a goal for this year was pretty straight forward.
I was excited to see I made the shot near top of Columbine on the Leadville Mtn Bike 100 website banner. Took a screen shot because it’s a better picture than any of the professional ones for purchase!

Crazy how many of us crossed paths at one point or another. In 2024, @BCM and I ended up sitting next to each other after the race (never met previously) and we had crossed paths on course that day as well and finished pretty close to each other.

Good Luck to All This year. I’ll be in for next year as I’ll be one of the youngest 60 year olds in the corrals, provided I get my cardiac issues resolved well enough to take another shot.
Until then I will live this year’s training and race prep vicariously through you.

I got in, buzzing to be racing in the US again after doing Sea Otter Fuego XL and XC in 2025.
Might need to work on my 450ft above sea level lungs.

Feel a bit jealous at the moment! Really enjoyed our visit to Leadville last year. I’d like to go back again but it gets a bit pricey coming from the U.K. I’ve taken up running since so I have tentative plans to do the run in 4/5 years!
