Kicker 5 add wifi Direct Connect

Hello all,
I have a Kickr 5 and was debating getting a Kickr 6 just for the Wifi connection.
I was wondering is it possible to add some type of Wifi pick up to the Direct Connect port on the Kickr 5? Sound like it should do the job.
Has anyone tried this before and other than the adapter from Wahoo, I don’t know what the Wifi pick up is called to look it up.

First you need the wahoo direct connect adapter which is £80 and then something like a WiFi plug with a ethernet port…

Looks like that would work. I also found this video with an example of what I’m trying to do.

I bought this for my v5 several weeks ago and found it works well. I was having bluetooth issues and found this to be a good workaround. I use powerline adapters to connect it to my router.

An update, I had an old WiFi extender sitting at home and was able to find a used direct connection module on-line.

Connected everything up, so far working perfectly.

I disabled the WiFi access on the extender so it’s only used for the Kickr.
