Just got a kickr core and I already have a stages power meter. What should I use?

I’ve been using a stages power meter on a set of rollers for my indoor TR workouts. I just recently got a kickr core smart trainer which I know also has a power meter.

I’ve been looking through the forum and see that people have talked about the power differences between the accuracy. I’d prefer to stick with my stages meter for accuracy but also consistency in the power output.

So how should I set up? Should I not connect the kickr core to the trainerroad app, or if you connect multiple power meters does it ask you to choose which one you want?

I’m assuming I still need to connect the kickr if I want to use erg mode, so does that force me to use the kickr for power to?

That’s the right reason to stick the the PM. Pair it and your trainer in TR and you will leverage PowerMatch.

Ah perfect! I hadn’t run across PowerMatch in the documentation. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

You definitely want to use one power meter if you can. If you ever use the Wahoo app, there’s also a feature to get power from your power meter.

I record on my Garmin, take power from my Stages and speed from the Kickr. (Not in TR)
