JOIN cycling app

Yes, you can still create annotations, which I think is a pain. They removed the option to enter your time away while creating the plan, which was super easy.

Rated 5, default was 4

That could be part of it. I did one and rated it 4 same as they did. Result 9.3. Changed it to 5 and the score went to 8.8

Future important dates would be good.

What I’d also like is being able to say “I’ll do this workout tomorrow”. If you skip a workout, you’ll get one the next day, but often it is quite a differant workout. I sometimes just want to swap days, because of the weather, or being tired from work. I don’t really think it would make a massive difference to you training if you did endurance today and the vo2max tomorrow, instead of the other way round.

(Yes, I can and do change next day’s workout back manually, but it would be nice to be able to say “swap these days”)

@PhydomiR Um, I think JOIN heard you because I just got an app update that extends workout score to give more information with an analysis with expected/what happened. This should give insight into why your workout gave the score it did methinks.

Great, also figured out the reason for the 7,5. The target watts were right on the edge of my zones according to Join. So from the 25mins i was supposed to spend in my upper tempo zone, because slight fluctuations in ERG power i only did 15mins in that prescribed zone. The other 10mins where in my threshold zone.

You can use whatever you wish. I use RGT generally since I’m in the Wahoo ecosystem for the most part.

I use Zwift. I tell Join to send the workout to TrainingPeaks and it then shows up in Zwift.

Also using Zwift, but you could even use your Wahoo or Garmin head unit if you wanted.

Good point. I do this on weekends. Again, I just send the workout to TP and it sends it to my Garmin, where it shows up in the Training schedule.

I just use my garmin.

If you do have a TR subscription, I’d do it through TR, so you can use powermatch.

Unlike TR you have much more flexibility and freedom for where you do them.

Do they email you about updates? I haven’t seen anything. I’m also slightly confused that the last article that is on the opening screen is now over a month old. Its about podcast #79, have they stopped the podcasts for the summer or so?

#79 is the last one listed on Spotify

They email for major things, like when the workout player launched on iOS. I only noticed this update because I checked on my phone. I know nothing of the podcast.

Just monthly I think? (Haven’t checked fora while) the subscription is managed via your app store, ie play store or wherever iphones get their apps from.

There is monthly, quarterly, and yearly with an increasing discount.

I really like the new update with the work out feedback analysis. Really cool, you can actually see expected times in zone versus the time you actually spent in each zone.

Where are you seeing that? I thought we were talking about the brief Workout Score text.

Did you update the app? If you did, go to a past work out and click on the workout score. Then an analysis page should pop up.
