Join was determined to have me do a workout called “madness”. Luckily doing a horrendously muddy cross race the day before made it reconsider.

It was determined to give me “madness” yesterday

Embrace the madness…

Or embrace the “I’m sick, leave me alone, maybe endurance” that I think I may do. A cold with a cough + VO2 max intervals seems like a bad combination…

LOL, I looked up Madness in the workout library, and a disclaimer popped up before showing the details of the workout.

Join’s version of Disaster? :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, Disaster is definitely “madness” (the kind that I’d like to try at some point)!

Mine started off as a two hour version on the Sunday. After I’d added my planned race as a ride for Sunday, it moved to Monday and shortened to 1:10 (I don’t have two hours on Monday). Only after I’d actually done the race, it changed to an endurance workout.

It did not trust your “planned in” ride and waited for actual confirmation. This AI might be on another level :joy:

Madness short kind of reminds me of a cityscape with its visualization.

Thanks for the pic! Sure looks like a “Kitchen Sink” workout like Disaster is meant to be. Very interesting to see that as part of their plans.

I have not had this suggested yet. Today’s VO2 max session was much boring although still enough to get the lungs working hard:

For the second batch I went a little deeper, this was my high intensity session for the week, although my 3hr ride tomorrow also has a bit of intensity packed in: In the middle of Z2 there are 6 20s all outs followed by 6 min Tempo.

Still more sensible than 90% of the workouts in Zwift’s Build Me Up plan.

This VO2max Pyramid moved my TR VO2max Level from 1.0 to 6.6 (wasn’t recommended)

Very hard for me but doable. Glad there wasn’t one more though.

What’s up with your heart rate - having some signal drop outs?

I suspect the battery needs changing or the fan was drying the sweat on my chest giving a dicky connection.

certainly looks like something wrong with the signal etc.

Hmmm

I’m not so sure about the balance of my workouts next week.

Tuesday is a 1hr 30min - intensive endurance workout (all good).

Wednesday is a 1hr 30min - 5x 1min All Out Intervals (all good) but then the very next day…

Thursday is a 1hr 30min of 5x 5min over unders.

3min @85% / 2min @100%. I’m not sure my old legs will cope with this. Two back to back tough sessions.

That’s not really over-unders, if the “over” is at 100%. It’s 3min tempo + 2min FTP, repeat 5x. In total, 10min of FTP. That doesn’t sound too bad?

My workouts change quite often until the day before, so it could be that it’ll change to something else before that. Or you could manually swap it out for another workout. Or,
If you try it and it is too much, give it a high RPE, and it should adjust your plan for the future.
