Is there something wrong with Ai FTP Detection and Prediction?

When the new AI Detection and Prediction was introduced I had values for both AI FTP Prediction and Detection. This morning after my ride I went in to look and I no longer have values for Prediction and Detection. It keeps giving me the following in the Prediction area:

Prediction Not Available

More training data needed.

Keep training and your prediction will appear.

I’ve been a member for years so there is plenty of data.

In the detection area it says:

New Detection Available!

Detect My FTP

I click on it, it gave me my FTP, says it updated it, but then goes back to Prediction not available???

It looks like this has been resolved. How are things going now?

I’m getting this same message, as of yesterday evening.

Hard workouts generally feel hard. So I’d say ok.

Yes this seems to have just miraculously fixed itself.

I reported this to the team last week, and we should have a fix out for this shortly, if not already. :sweat_smile:

I have this issue as of this morning. I completed a “hard” threshold workout, which I marked “hard.” And then my ftp prediction disappeared.

This issue just popped up for me just now after I completed my workout and ran the AI FTP prediction that was due today. I received a new FTP and then the detection part looked like it was running its calculations before it changed to prediction not available. :man_shrugging:

@Ratboy, it looks like you’ve got a prediction now. Do you see one on your end?

Mine came back this morning after making an update to this morning’s planned workout. I just changed it to a shorter workout and then AI adjusted out the plan and updated the predicted FTP.

My calendar still shows FTP prediction is unavailable and training data needed for the workouts on the last 2 days of the AI training simulation window in mid-March. I had to add time off for the rest of this week to deal with the loss of a family member and the rest of the workouts updated. It looked like the prediction was calculating again, but no dice. :man_shrugging:

I think this is an issue with solo/group rides.

I switched your solo/group rides to indoor workouts, and everything works now.

If you want to switch any workout back to a solo/group ride, on the day of the ride, just right-click the workout and select how you’re going to ride that day.

Thanks for the help Eddie. Those were the only workouts I didn’t try messing with to see if I could trigger the prediction to work. And I usually have to swap them out for indoor workouts on the fly due to the weather this time of year.

I’ve been experiencing this issue since Wednesday. It started as soon as I did the AI FTP detection that was due that day. I don’thave any solo or group rides on my schedule. I also updated the app to make sure that wasn’t the issue.

Seems back? I had a prediction. I did a workout, and prediction is gone. New detection is supposed to be tomorrow?

I don’t know if it’s the same bug or a different one but my AIFTP prediction isn’t updating just getting the sparkles. It’s been working fine and then after completing an unscheduled Zwift ride it updated workouts but not the ftp prediction and all I get is sparkles.
