You can see the front brake cable in the second picture.
it is 100% you. I see cables on both bikes.

They don’t have cables. They do have hoses. New Di2 and etap don’t need cables for shifting, which is a real bonus for anyone no longer having to route through bars/stems/frames!
I mean, if you want to get pedantic, it isn’t etap, it is Sram AXS. 
If it’s pedantic try watering your garden with a cable
