🎉🎉🎉 Introducing Plan Builder! 🎉🎉🎉

Thanks Geoff. With hindsight it seems obvious that i should have known that but at the time i just tok the computer to be correct and for me to not second guess the software… anyway no harm done. Good to practice the ramp test again… :sob:

Thanks Michael.

It’s been requested and acknowledged by TR. It may not make the initial release, but is a planned function.

I am having this same issue. Low volume, experienced, add openers to B events, added 1 cross country olympic B event 1/25/2020, added 5 day Stage race cross country marathon 4/14/2020 - A event, added 3 day stage race gravel Sept 2020- A event. Click “Start training” at bottom. It loads next to each plan for a second, then nothing. Go to my calendar and training schedule is unchanged from previous schedule. Any solution for this?

Wonder if that’s to do with your last A event being a stage race. Does it still happen if you pretend it’s just a normal race?

Are there plans to add something like that?

Yes, I’m not sure I’d it will be a fast follow or not. Although it sounds easy it’s not entirely simple.

@splash, those two blank rest days were in Weeks 8 and 10 of my plan. My A race is on Week 13 (Feb 29). Seems like a lot of rest being scheduled there.

I think your onto a winner here with the Plan Builder - TR team. When do you think it will go into general use (out of alpha and beta I think its called)?

Cheers

Very soon!

Not sure if to put this here or on the calendar request thread:

Can we get the option to mark an event a Maybe? instead of an A, B, or C. This being so the event can be on the calendar, but NOT have plan builder modify training with it.

I like to put events on the calendar to see how things line up in the big picture. They are ones that if life cooperates, they can be done. But if life happens, they get skipped.

Sure thing. New events added to the calendar give you the choice if you want to have your training adjusted based on them. Once you get to this, select not to have training adjust.

Ahhh, I was inputting events NOW and need to play again with plan builder. I’ll modify from here. Thanks

@JohnWilliam this is in testing right now according to the last update. They are working to fix the issue of tri races not pulling into the build schedule.

This plan builder is amazing!!!

I am sure this has been brought up, but what about having the ability to make recurring events? For example, I have a weekly, Wednesday night crit locally that I built into my plan as a B event and my out of town crits as my A events. Not sure if my local weekly race is a B or not. However, I have to add each one individually from the third week of April through the third week of August.

If you add them to the calendar before launching the plan builder they will be pulled in. That way you can set them as recurring or copy/paste them more easily.

Was a little skeptical about plan builder at first but after listening to the podcast today Nate, Jonathan and Chad convinced me to get on board. Didn’t realize it was so easy to adjust the plan if you wanted to add an event. Looks like a great product and looking forward to getting started next week.

Just noticed a pretty big problem with what Plan Builder planned out for me. I requested high volume with an A race Sept. 6 of next year, Shenandoah Mountain 100. I also have 5 or 6 other 6 hour mtb races in there. Plan started 12/9.

Issue is this. I have a recovery week that ends February 12 in Build & I don’t have another scheduled to begin until March 30. That’s 7 weeks at the end of another Base phase. This doesn’t seem like a good idea, that might crush me… Also, ramp tests are inserted in weird places throughout the plan. I intended to swap things around & schedule these for Sundays.

@bnied could you please take a look at this & give me a recommendation on how to straighten it out? Thank you!

You don’t ‘need’ it. But I suspect they are including it for variety at the very least.

Here is hoping your folks see the issue – I am trying hard to wait for Plan Builder but my cold is finally ending and I need to get serious again on training. Love the idea of Plan Builder as something is better than nothing. Consistency will be the key.

Thank you TR.
