Intervals max power

This is Pointer and i did it on Schwinn IC8 with Virtual Power, when i am use this bike i alway try to add some ways because i do not know how it is accurate.

Probably due to it being done on something that over-reads by 50w (aka the zwift racing setup!)

See, I don’t have access to the workout library so can’t see exactly what it entails…but I’d say that workout wasn’t effective as it could be just by looking at it. The intervals look too short, and the rest intervals way too short for an actual vo2 training session so I’d not look be doing it at all unless I had an event with a punchy climb every lap on a crit course or something

The issue here is that the OP is using his bike, a Kickr Core, and a Schwinn.

@MarcinWaw TrainerRoad cannot reconcile three different power meters and give you proper workout levels nor can the AI predict your FTP correctly with this inconsistent data.

I did not make any VO2 workout on last 21 days. Last one was done in September. It was Pointer with value 10.0. It was done on Schwinn bike. Maybe @AJS914 is right becouse due to my job specific i am training 6 weeks on Schwinn bike and next 6 weeks on kickr core.

@ivegotabike for your information i am simple user every training year i just create training plan by TR i set up accordingly and that is all. I just wanted to know why i can not pass some trainings. I thought that if i am using adaptive training system everything what i done fully or fail is automatically adjusted to my current fitness.

TrainerRoad or any software cannot reconcile multiple power meters. And a Schwinn exercise bike is not going to be even remotely accurate.

Even your Quarq and your Kickr probably don’t measure the same.

This is why you are struggling. No software can reconcile three different power meters.

There are a number of ways to solve this. You could buy power meter pedals. When using the Schwinn, use them. Then move them to your bike and record all workouts from the pedals rather than your Kickr or Quarq.

Another option might be to just use the Quarq when outside and the Quarq when the bike is on the trainer. On the Schwinn, just do workouts by feel/RPE (rate of perceived exertion).

Or get power meter pedals for the Schwinn and then dual record them on your bike with the Quarq. Then use software to see if they are close.

There are a dozen ways to solve this…

Reach out to TR support and ask them to have a look at your progression levels.

Very few people could do a level 10.2 vo2 max workout if their FTP is set correctly.

I assume your levels have become skewed because you have ā€œpassedā€ some hard workouts due to dodgy power meters. I think support will be able to adjust your vo2 max level down to something manageable.

And turn ERG mode power smoothing off on your kickr - this won’t help your issue - but will make me happier. I hate those fake smooth lines

You could also find this (and other dubious) rides and deselect its consideration for TrainerRoad’s calculations.

I’m my opinion it would be worthwhile doing this for every ride you did this device.
