So instead of doing my indoor workout today (kaweah) I went for a group ride. Kaweah is an hour and half ride at .86 intensity factor. So at the group ride there was no way to do the structure of the workout but I was really pushing it and at the 1:30 mark I was at .94 IF.
Still had about 12 rolling miles left and while I was feeling good with several PRs, I decided to let group go and go endurance for the rest of the ride. I got a few jeers from my group as they thought I blew up but after putting down the hurt but I know better
Is this a good way to still get the spirit/benefits of the training ?
As far as fun factor, I did enjoy the 2 parts of putting down the hammer and then just spinning the legs out.
