What fitness trackers might best meet my needs? I’m looking for some insight into sleep quality, activity stress, recovery, HRV, etc. as it might pertain to my relatively recent periods of fatigue and possibly exercise intolerance.
I’ve been using Garmin Edge devices with a HRM since 2010, and with power since 2016. I never was interest in a Garmin watch, but perhaps one of those might be the best bet. There are other devices that maybe I should consider, like: Polar Vantage, Fitbit, Whoop. I’m looking for information and suggestions as to which might be the best option. I don’t mind spending what I need to for a device/subscription that will do what I need.
Of late, doing specific rides that were tough but invigorating have sometimes been nearly impossible to complete and left me wasted having to spend the rest of the day on the couch. So far, I haven’t been able to put a finger on anything.
I’m in my late 50s. I’ve used a Garmin Fenix, then whoop, and now a Garmin Venue 3.
Does all the things that I need off of the bike with no subscription and the ekg is a nice bonus.

I have an Apple Watch. Use the sleep+ app which has been useful. Also allows Strava for all activities which is equally helpful if I don’t want to carry my phone or am not riding using my wahoo bolt cycling headunit.
If you’re already using an iPhone then might be a consideration.

The general rule of thumb is that if you’ve got a Garmin Edge device already, to keep it within the family and get a Garmin wearable. Whereas if you had a Wahoo bike computer or something else, then it doesn’t really matter a ton.
This is because it ensures your cycling data is accounted for within your training/recovery/etc data. Sure, you could dual-record (watch+bike computer, on a different brand), but the easiest thing is just keeping it within the same ecosystem.

Out of interest what does the TR red light/yellow light show for recent weeks?
Do you want the watch purely for monitoring and not for running, hiking, routing etc? If so pick a Garmin you like the look of and check out dcrainmaker.com for reviews!
Have you checked your pulse for any irregularities at all whilst feeling so tired?
Welp, after some research on the web and considering I’m in the Garmin “ecosystem”, looks like the Venu 3 is it. It has ECG capability which could be useful checking for AFIB etc. Actually, I’ll get the 3S as my wrist is pretty small and the straight 3 is pretty huge. I tried them on at REI.
