Maybe the biggest surprise of the day at unbound - I jumped on my bike many times with the clown shoes going with multiple lbs of mud on each foot. It was probably over 4" thick on the bottom every time you had to walk in that stuff. Mashed my feet down with a little twisting and totally amazed to end up clipped in every time. SPD’s have achieved mud proof status in my mind.
