Help with Wahoo Roam v2 calibrating Dura-Ace FC-R9200-P power meter 🤷🤷

New bike equals new power meter. I now have the Dura_Ace FC-R9200 P, after years of Quarq and man they do not make it easy. My issue is performing a zero offset calibration through my wahoo headset. The issue, and I get the same with both my Bolt and Roam v2, is that the power meter pairs with the head unit and there is no problem recording data etc and no drop outs but before I start the ride I repeatedly get the same issue of not being able to do a zero offset through the head unit as detailed in the screens below. The odd thing is I can see the blue lights come on and then it just loses connection with the head unit. I can perform the zero calibration on my iPhone through E-Tube and it even works on my Apple Watch just not through my Wahoo head units. It is really annoying me now so wonder if anyone could throw me a help line to sort this. I have tried using the recommended E-Tube settings of ANT set to to Force Vector and Bluetooth Off and also with Bluetooth turned to cycling power but it still keep losing the connection and not displaying that it has worked etc. I know it’s not the head units and I know the zero offset calibration works via the phone and watch so not sure what I am missing. Obviously I click retry and the same thing just keeps happening… Many thanks for any input.

Sounds like the power meter is connecting to your phone instead of the head unit when you’re trying to calibrate. Close all the apps on your phone and temporary turn off Bluetooth to your phone. It’s my experience with the Roam, that it will not calibrate if some other device/app/etc. is connected to the power meter. Additionally, you can pedal backwards five times and that will zero offset.

Agree with @MI-XC. You can also hold the button on the PM until it turns blue. Release. It should blink blue 5 times, indicating an offset. Make sure your cranks are at 12 and 6.

Interesting, just tried it. Fwiw, I don’t get the ‘connection lost’ message, but do get the calibration failed message.

I can only presume that Wahoo is simply saving us all time, given it knows that no amount of calibration will fix the Shimano power meter’s accuracy issues.

Should’ve read DC‘s page before buying a new PM. #fridaybanter

I don’t know how I ended up with the one good PM they made but I’m not complaining.

Thanks DC. Jn92 I did read DC’s in depth review. Sadly no choice on the PM so just need to get on with it #firstworldproblems . Comparing my first few rides on it with 10 years of power files I can see it under reports consistently by around 28 W in the big ring and is around the mark in the little ring on long climbs. I can live with this as long as the under reporting remains consistent, although I know DC reports that the figure does not remain constant, for me, only time will tell…. Still annoyed that cannot zero offset through headset but, again, feel lucky to have the luxury of moaning about having to use my phone, watch or the manual button to do it…. Thanks for everyone’s input.

Are you sponsored by Shimano?
You could sneak in power meter pedals, no?

Hi, are you able to confirm if this worked? Im also having the same problem with my wahoo and dura ace pm.

Yes, it works.
