Hi all
I’m looking to install this crankset in my 2018 giant defy advanced. It doesn’t come with a bottom bracket and my bike has a shimano pressfit bb. Will I be able to install this crankset on my own or is this something my LBS should do?

Hi,
Provided you aren’t needing to change the bottom bracket (which you shouldn’t provided it is currently a shimano BB) then replacing the crankset is very easy. You just need a couple of basic tools which you would find in a standard bike tool set. Check out GCN videos for maintenance guides.
Replacing a pressfit BB however I would advise you to use a mechanic as both the removal and clamping of new BB require more specific tools and doing this incorrectly can damage your frame.
