Have I bitten off more than I can chew (am I wildly optimistic)?

Good luck! Ride hard.

Race smart. Stay safe. Best of luck!

Go get it, and have fun

Well I didn’t DNF, and wasn’t last (3rd or 4th from last) so I am chalking that up as personal win.

I didn’t expect the speed it started at, I was dropped within 3 corners! Madness through corners with bikes left and right of me.

There’s talk of coaching at the site with a British cycling coach which considering my cornering speed I need. The gf was playing photographer and said she could notice my corner speed was so much lower than the others.

In short I was well under powered but I enjoyed it and have more goals now.

That track is pretty similar to Stourport and those corners do take some getting used to, especially if they are cambered. You have to sprint out of them on every lap.

You’re right though, it a personal victory and racing is addictive. You should be pleased :+1:

Technical skills like cornering are less painful to develop than more watts!
Congratulations on showing up to race. You got to race to place.
