Future workouts harder after adding endurance workout

Wondering why did my future planned workouts get harder in workout level when I added a AI picked endurance ride for today. I thought by adding a new workout the future workouts would stay the same or adapt lower. Was TR giving me to correct intensity prior adding?

Screenshot before adding today’s AI picked endurance ride.

Added AI picked endurance ride. All future rides increased in WL

I don’t use AIFTP prediction or detection. That shouldn’t matter though since TR suppose to work with manual FTP input.

TR feel free to dig into my calendar and share. Just don’t post screenshots of my outdoor rides since it will show my home location.

That is very strange, my only experience with something similar (it was the opposite!) to this is last week I had skipped my longer endurance ride on sunday because I wasn’t home until late. Knowing I had a pretty gnarly vo2max workout on Tuesday, and I had only done a couple runs since Thursdays Threshold work on trainer. I set a 30min short ride ‘warmup/openers’ Laurel for Monday ahead of Tuesdays workout. When I did that it reduced my hard workouts for Tuesday and Thursday!!! WTH?! If you’re supposed to use Laurel the day before a race or even day of as a warmup… why would it think it was going to kill my workouts for the week!?

Yeah this seems strange. Here are some screenshots of before and after adding an endurance ride in the future and how it changes the workouts. I am on a plan so it should have selected the best workouts for me already.

No endurance ride added

Added AI selected endurance ride. All future rides increased in workout level / tss.

Separately, maybe a bug, when I make these changes, my weight, w/kg, training plan name disappears from the top.

@eddie

I was just able to reproduce this on my own account.

I’m reporting to the team now! :man_technologist:

When you find out more, please let me know if I should delete my plan and recreate it or if TR is still giving me the optimal workouts. Thanks.

I don’t think you need to rebuild your plan, and I don’t think that would help anyway, unfortunately.

Those two workouts are pretty close, but if you’re worried about taking on the harder one, you should be able to find the original (Warlow +1) in Workout Alternates. :+1:
