Fitness decreasing but FTP increasing

Better? Absolutely. Sufficient? Won’t know until you try. You can always add more volume into other rides if it isn’t.

In general, more volume is rarely a bad thing.

Which one are you training for?

Transpyrenees … 1054km about 27000m of elevation and a cut off of 5.5 days… unsupported.

I’ve also got a 156km race booked in March and a 500km in April from the Race Across Spain series.

Excellent. A friend did it a couple of years ago. Quite a mix of bikes and approaches. They really enjoyed it.

Looking again. Looks like yours is a road edition, Theirs was a gravel version. So probably not. Still you’ll still be getting the fine Pyrenean views.
