Hi there,
I’m wondering if anybody is in the same boat as me. I have been training with power for several years and I love it. However, I mostly mountain bike in a region in BC where 95% of people wear flats to bike because our trails are ridiculously gnarly. My usual bike ride is doing a straight up climb of about 500 - 700 m and I would love to be able to get in a threshold or sweet spot work out on the way up.
I have a pair of Assioma Pro-MX power pedals and would LOVE to be able to put a pair of flats on them when MTBing on so I could really enjoy the way down. Is anybody else in a similar position? If so, consider sending Favero a message asking them to create a pair of flats you can swap out, similar to how you can swap the road/MX pedals. I figure I can’t be the only one and this seems like this could be an easy way for them to make money!
I realize I could get a power meter in the crank arm, but at this point it would involve a whole new drive train and I’ll probably buy a new bike in the next couple of years. It would also be really nice swapping the same power meter between bikes so I’m always training with the same gear.
Thanks!
