EVOC Travel Bag Pro or something else?

Wanted to take a shot at dropping the fork mount adapter and in turn get the weight down and bike more forward in the bag. I don’t know what size the bolt or thread pitch of the lefty. If I did, I could cinch the axle into the Evoc. Cannondale hasn’t gotten back to me, so I won’t know that until I’m long gone. So this is the solution I have for now. I was going to use zip ties, but TSA are butt heads and would likely cut them and not replace them because why would they?

The end result is what I wanted in that it drops the weight of the adapter, and moves the bike forward. Here’s hoping my scale and Delta’s are close.

just wanted to chime in here. I bought the Buxumbox and it’s pretty awesome. It was incredibly easy to assemble / disassemble. The dimensions seem really close to the fabric boxes so I just went for the metal. It’s probably ~2-4 lbs heavier so take that into account. (note: I’m not comparing since I never tried a fabric one).

I was a little nervous buying from Europe but customer service was incredible. he helped me pick the perfect size and answered a few other questions.

I would highly recommend the buxumbox. it was incredibly easy to travel with and I can see this lasting for years.

only slight “negative” is the box came to me so beautiful…paint is awesome, rivets etc. it gets scuffed and dinged. there’s no way around that and it’s just doing it’s job. only reason I mention this is prob not worth the upgrade for a cool paint job if that’s gonna bother you.

it’s got handles on top and sides in really convenient location. it has a TSA lock. the wheel system is great (one side stays straight and the other side turns). it’s balanced very well. just overall incredibly thought out design and extremely well executed.
