What the biggest 2x chainring you can fit on the MOG?
Alexey ran a 2x at Sea Otter both in the Ben Delaney top 6 bikes video and in his cooldown video with Keegan he talked chain ring size.

I need the high end though. 50t is too small. I would go XPLR but I don’t like the jumps with 1x.
I’ve got a Tarmac SL6, and I’m really considering trying to turn it into a MOG or similar, or FRAY. I ride MTB mostly now, but I also like to throw in a longer road ride after hitting the trails for days.
we don’t have extended gravel around my area, at least within front door riding distance. I’ve got an old Pivot Vault with 38 Pathfinders and I’ve ridden all the gravel roads around me on that without issue.
MOG or FRAY or something also more road like instead of MTB like???
I have 3 bikes - Epic 8. MOG. Factor Ostro VAM.
I do a lot of riding with the MOG on the road - maybe 45-50mm deep wide wheels. 45mm fast rolling tires. Gets pretty much 100% of my outdoor use on the road from late fall until later in the spring. Great training bike, feels pretty fast.
That is, until I get on my Factor. And realize that feels like an absolute Rocket every time I hop on it after spending a lot of time on my Epic and MOG.
Don’t get me wrong, love the MOG, it’s a great bike, but don’t get the idea that it’s as quick or fast as a good road bike or you’ll be disappointed. If you don’t need that though - I could see it being a great all around road / gravel bike.
