Thanks! I’ll try dropping the cadence a little before the interval starts. I have quite a few things to try before today’s workout!
It sure seems like quite a few people have lemons if that is the case
From what I’ve gathered in other threads you do not need to run a spin down calibration before every ride. I do mine every week or so… That being said I do not think it will hurt anything, so really it’s up to you…
My heart rate is also ANT+, I picked up a Wahoo cadence sensor and turned off BT then all my issues went a way… A few times I have forgotten to turn bluetooth off on my lap top and my problems resurfaced. This leads me to the other area you should look at…
… signal interference. I read on a few other threads, on this forum, that other trainers were acting weird and it was due to wifi and routers being too close and the signal was stepping on the trainer’s signals…
If you do not mind - when you sort it out, post the solution here so others can benefit.
Will do! Our router is one floor above me, so I’m hoping that won’t be the issue. Fingers crossed it’s an easy fix.
So I finally figured out my issue with the resistance dropping while keeping a similar cadence…I use the L/R stages power meter and I believe something was happening with power match. I disabled power match for yesterday’s ride and I was able to maintain my cadence in the high 90s/low 100s with the power staying on target.
The one problem with disabling power match is that my stages was recording about 3-8 watts higher. So my over-unders were technically over-barely understand, which makes me feel that my ftp has gone up at least! For the consistency and reliability of the trainer and yesterday’s ride I will likely keep power match disabled and do all rides, including my upcoming ramp test just using the direto.
Awesome! I’m glad you got it sorted. Thank you for posting
Yeah, power match didn’t work for my drivo
