Am also a veteran of the OG SSBHV I and II plans + SusPBHV. If you’re relatively new to structure, it’s definitely a good way to supercharge your FTP and blow through noob gains, but it isn’t sustainable. Even those plans didn’t include 10 hours of 90-99% work—they were +/- 60-90 min of intensity per day for 4 days a week (so at max 6 hours of intensity) on about 10 hours of volume per week.

At that time I could hold 290 watts for 2 hours and 300 watts for 60 mins. Max 330 watts for 10 mins x 4 efforts.
The more of an climber type you are the better you can deal with tons of SS.
A more punchy type like myself gets roasted rather quickly in comparison.
Which is also why a HVSS plan is doomed to fail when blindly applied to everyone. And why you will hear widly differend experience as an answer to your question.
In doubt try it out for yourself and apply common sense while reflexting on how you feel.
