Cyclocross Training Tips for Cadence

I’m currently looking for some cyclocross training tips for when on the trainer.

A lot of the VO2 max workouts suggest a cadence of over 100RPM but would this be better suited to a lower one if training for CX? Would 80-90 be a good recommendation, perhaps? Or even lower?

It’s my first season racing cyclocross and I’m loving it but coming from a road background I do sometimes struggle when it comes to “grinding it out” as I’m used to a much higher cadence.

Stick to the power target first and then worry about cadence but anything 90+ will be spot on no matter what your discipline.
