Or burn up. It’s a slippery slope. I’m sure we’ll see new studies that show an inverse relationship between ftp’s and gdp’s.
Italy does not have an authoritarian regime but what they do is very similar to that of China. Those are the measurements that must be taken during the outbreak. Using the “they are taking away my freedoms” argument isn’t going to cut it when it comes to pandemics.
Anybody concerned with low immune system due to following high intensity plans? It’s important, if you happen to be unlucky to catch it that your immune system is strong?

see my other posts since Italy began its quarantines. The post above was well before that.

Where did I make the “they are taking away my freedoms” argument? (Hint - I didn’t)
- That was your first post in the thread, to which I replied
- You’ve mentioned national guard in Seattle and the way I read it, you’ve implied that people would revolt.
Right now is the perfect time for governments to start what they are paid to do, that is to govern. That involves making swift and hard decision when it comes to quarantine and just as importantly, to start pumping as much money as possible into research in order to come up with a vaccine.
Again, let me know where I have said anything differently than what you just said.
My point was simple…an authoritarian regime has a much easier time to lock down its population. It is immensely harder for western democracies to do that…credit should be given to Italy for actually doing it, especially since their economy is already in deep distress.
Must be a misunderstanding then.
A travel between US and Europe has been announced. That however does not extend to UK, which is puzzling to say the least.
I’m a mortgage loan officer, so it tanked rates and I’ve been crazy busy. Thus, training has suffered because I go into work early, work through lunch, go home, work through dinner, and then pack away my laptop around 10 and pass out.
supposedly also doesn’t apply to US citizens… as if the virus just checks to see whether the host is a native English speaker
Is now a good time to refi?
I am fully expecting European countries to issue a similar ban for anyone from the US
Lol, it was better Friday but rates are still very good. Even after a bad 3 day stretch.
they won’t do this because it’s not rational when there is already widespread local transmission. It just causes economic damage. But our us president is an idiot so he doesn’t care if it’s rational.
Shoulda built a higher wall.

Starting to wonder the same thing and surprised to see no serious discussion of that risk on here.
Personally, I’m deep into completing mid vol build for first time and hard to give up on it but also don’t want to be caught with a knocked down immune system right now. Not sure if a switch to higher vol Z2 with minimal maintenance work at intensity would be safer or not.

My suggestion would be to drop that to a low volume plan instead and see how you go. Better be safe.
Yeah, judging from all the people “working from home”, my Strava feed is chock full of long weekday rides with photos of beautiful spring flowers. The overtraining danger is real.
Hah the dream. I’m WFH, but the inefficiency inherent in the whole process is making me swamped. That said, I do have a long weekend ride on the books (in Seattle.) The roads here have been freaky empty.
Would be interesting to see how the global econ faired during the Spanish flu when there was no internet to keep commerce (semi-) moving.

They haven’t closed their borders, it’s the worst use of the word ‘quarantine’ I’ve seen so far! They are restricting movement at most, which is beneficial, but isn’t quarantine.
