This is the ‘career’ screen, which is just a snapshot in time of the user’s current PLs. There is no ‘before and after’ as there is with a specific workout. I think this is why this screen doesn’t include that.
Ahh that makes sense, thanks ![]()
I’m a bit confused too. Im in build phase of a full adaptive plan, my current threshold progression level is 4.4, but todays threshold workout scheduled is rated as “threshold 3.7” and the AI suspects i will rate it as hard.
Whats the point in doing a workout below my current progression level, especially in build phase, and why does AI think it will be hard (and therefore seemingly wont suggest a harder workout) when my current level is 4.4 due to my last threshold workout being successfully completed at that level?
Likely because the AI thinks you are fatigued for some reason. If you’re carrying fatigue, you can still do a workout that progresses you even if you couldn’t handle something that would be at your maximum when you’re fresh.
It’s worth saying that the AI also works on power, not levels so it may see a lower level workout as a progression because of the power specifics of that workout. Hard to say without seeing the workouts reccomended
Thanks! That seems likely. But if thats the case, its annoying that it doesnt tell me that, and it seems next week’s threshold workout is also lower than my progression level. Ironically, i deleted the weekly sweetspot workout because i know from experience that doing that WOULD fatigue me, so not sure how that works….
Odd about the power vs level you mentioned. I thought the whole point of progression levels was to get away from basic power metrics like TSS and IF because they arent accurate enough to form an accurate progression.
The new Athlete Levels are a little different from the old Progression Levels. See these support blog posts.

Also, if you are looking at future workouts and you notice that the Workout Levels aren’t progressing, the system thinks you are potentially doing too much work and it is trying to prevent you from overtraining.
Post you calendar and people here can give you some input.
Thanks. I did read those. It seems like they both use the same 1-10 rating system and that you raise your athlete level by completing workout with a rating above that. That makes it pretty odd that my build phase would consistently give me workouts below my athlete level, and also not then tell me why.
Odd that i would be fatigued. Firstly, i need to read up about how TR actually calculates that. I’m a returning experienced TR user, doing low volume, only just starting build, doing some extra z2 rides as i always used to and deleting the 3rd TR workout every week.
How do i turn off the AI and get the OG sweet spot plans back? ![]()
