I asked the same thing and Nate said it will automatically happen. No need to do anything.

Couple shots. I will say it’s warning me to rest or downgrade my easy rides (it’s a recovery week) and they appear too easy. It has a cool feature to quickly choose alternates based on duration or difficulty. I am very green to cycling with a purpose so no shaming my workouts lol. Planning on LT100 this summer.

It’s a very common mistake to try to make your easy rides harder. I actually just listened to an Empirical Cycling podcast about it today. I would welcome a change at TR that encourages making your hard rides hard and your easy rides easy!

Not sure this is the place for my question–?
All my progression levels have increased since I joined this group. They (especially Threshold, SS, VO2Max) seem really high. Rides that would normally give me a small, incremental increase now do not give any. Does anyone know why this has changed? (My FTP was detected about a week and a half ago…) :folded_hands:

I still can’t see it, neither on the phone, on PC via browser nor on PC via the app…

When your FTP change, levels are recalculated based on the new FTP. It gets shorter but with higher power

Yes, thanks. However, my FTP did not change, it stayed the same. My progression levels spiked right after I was entered into this group. I don’t mind increases, but these are pretty drastic increases. VO2Max went from 1.5 to 4.3, with no rides to result in that increase. :woman_shrugging: It seems weird, but I’ll see how it goes.

You can not use the new features, but there’s not a way to hide the new features.

Yah, you can pick longer workouts and/or lower your FTP.

Longer workouts will focus (usually) on longer intervals, and lower FTP will have you doing longer intervals.

You can create your week of what ever block you want, they copy and paste it.

IE if you made a VO2 max block with three workouts per week, the AI would still adjust the workouts correctly for you.

Only unplanned ones… :grimacing: :winking_face_with_tongue:

It’s just a flip of a switch for us so there won’t be any down time.

I talk about this on the next podcast.

TLDL; Yes, we’ll have a LLM style AI to talk to and ask questions about your training, give you context, and make adjustments for you.

Nice! I need to give that a try. So many shiny new things to play with!

Not exactly what I was asking. I was thinking more a setting to tell adaptive training to extend threshold and below intervals, not to increase the intensity to progress them. So the system would do this automatically, instead of me having to manual do this for every workout.

I think what you’d want is an option for increasing TTE similar to how there are increase FTP plans. Or Is it more a slider that says increase duration vs intensity for a given training type. Maybe the sliders do that? Still not clear what they actually do.

Looking for a slider / setting that would be something like ā€œFor threshold and below intervals, extend interval duration not intensity to progressā€.

I was wondering where the sprint training went.

It seems to be missing from the current plan.

Will the update be rolled out world wide immediately or do we have to expect to wait a bit longer in Europe? Trainerroad has been a blast for me the last months and I can“t wait to get the update to solve some of the problems I have.
