Canyon frame with GRX groupset - Any PM recommendations?

@aaikins couldn’t seem to find a Quarq with a GRX groupset or am I missing something?

Quarq is a great powermeter, but the DUB-axle is not a good fit for the Grizl frame with BB86. Not sure you can find 30/46 chainrings for the Quarq Dfour either. Might be an issue with chainline also…

Power2Max has some cranksets with 24mm axle that would fit the Grizl well.

You would need to run a quarq dfour and then choose your rings

Had the P2Max unit on my last gravel bike and it was great. I’d still happily be using it if I hadn’t sold the bike.

Thanks @daniebr @ABG @FrankTuna for the suggestions. I will take a look at the Powermax.

Searching looks like a lot of the PMs that have been suggested are sold out in Europe here so don’t think I have time to get them in for my race but will keep looking. Based on feedback I think I need to take some time and chose wisely and maybe save pennies

Good to know what people have who have Grizls or Canyons with low clearance issues. Thanks all.

I have no affiliation with this vendor, but used them a few times and they were fantastic. Might be worth seeing if they can ship to Europe? Good luck!!

Thanks @FrankTuna. Will check them out. Ta!

The Vector/Rally-conversion is easily available in Europe.

Yeah @daniebr I can pick both up no problem. Looks like I have plenty of options and more research to do as wasn’t considering Power2Max but also looks like it fits (need to check clearance) and gets great reviews and feedback (battery cover aside).

Thanks again.

Stu, I have the Assioma pedals and got a second pair for the hack with the M8 pedal bodies. According to GPLama the hack does invalidate the warranty, but you could always put the original bodies back. With tax and the M8 pedals, you will be around $900 for dual sided. There may be less expensive body options now and you could go Uno. I really like the pedal solution for sharing among bikes and it is great for comparing with other (non-pedal) power meters. I am careful to coast over places that might have a pedal strike and would not recommend this if you are doing very rowdy rocky trails. I have been questioning this set-up reading high lately, but careful comparison and examination reveal I am a little heavier and just putting out more power… Yeah TR works!!!

Hey @Turn2 thanks for the info. Actually pulling costs for all options and the Assioma as of writing would be around 650 for duo, around 500 for the duo-shi option and then the m4 I could pick up for around 80 euros. so actually around 600-750 all in. Just over what I would pay for Garmin.

Good to know is the feedback I am getting and now have more options to consider. My main ride is my gravel but I do have my MTB for fun trails where I may use the PM but as my training ride is my gravel I don’t think I would be swapping much. Valid points on switching pedals on my trainer bike to calibrate the numbers I would be getting.

Thanks again.
