Can You Go Pro WITHOUT Intervals?

I’ve never seen an interval session written like “ride for like 2-3 hours at 0-1000 watts, then pick a couple hills to go fast up if you want to, whatever pace feels good, then ride another 1-2 hours home, stop for coffee maybe, and if you want to sprint for the city limit sign do that too, or not, it doesn’t matter, just make sure you get in 4-5 hours today.”

By that definition every ride I do is a very structured interval session. Love it, now I cannot do junk miles.

Sounds like some good off-season base work to me. You never did power poles or go crush a couple hills as workout? Maybe I am just old… but that was standard back in the day.

I wouldn’t necessarily say structured, you can have intervals without them needing to be structured.

Don’t forget daddy buying an SL8 for his son as well.

The bike barely matters though, genetics, training and genetics are a tad more important
