just got a rim brake Cervelo S3 (new leftover from 2018). Replaces a damaged S2 that was perfect fit. This one exact same fit. Delighted to get it, since I do not want to go the disc brake route due to existing rim brake wheel inventory, and never needing better braking. The new Shimano rim brakes are VERY powerful
If only I had the foresight to try and get a deposit on a bike!
Most shops are quoting 30+ day lead times for in-stock builds at this point, let alone getting orders in for new models.
I want a new bike but I’m holding off as want/need are two different things.
I like my current bike but I don’t love the paint job. The other thing is that the frame will only take 25mm tires (maybe 26-27mm max).
I’d really like a modern rim brake bike that will take 28mm tires that measure 30-32mm actual on modern wide rims.
I thought I wanted a Tarmac SL6 but I could never find a color I really liked in the right size and now the SL6 rim brake frame has been discontinued.
Then, of course, I think that maybe I should just go whole hog and get a disc brake frame.
It all leaves me on the fence.

Update from me. Been riding the Tarmac for 3+ months now and has been awesome. So nice and happy every day I ride it.
