Anyone have experience with Hunt wheels?

Realized today that Hunt’s (I think) previous generation “Wide Aero” rim brake wheels are <$800. Any thoughts on the differences between the Wide Aero and Aerodynamicist series wheels? $769 is pretty tempting, I’m kind of doubting that there’s an extra $200 worth of aerodynamic gains between the two models, but I guess I could be wrong.

I had a similar exchange experience, but in the end they made it right and haven’t had an issue with new set.

What’s everyone’s take on Hunt wheels? I’m eyeing the 48 Limitless and Hunt’s running a 25% discount on those

I moved your post from the Discounts topic to one more specific to Hunt wheels. Plenty to read above and some other search results to review.

I have 2 pair. One set of aluminum rim brake for the CX bike and one pair of the 5444’s carbon disc brake wheels for the road bike. They’ve been fine. No problems on either set.

Have a pair of road carbon 50mm wheels - bullet proof and brilliant - simple as that!

Excellent quality, and customer service is very helpful at addressing any issues that may arise, even years later. I’ve had some for about 4 years. The alloy ones have cheap hubs , but the carbon ones are great.

I have the Gravel 35 X-Wide - been great!

I have the 4454 Aerodynamacists and they roll fast! I consistently pass my friends on downhills while they’re in a “super tuck” and I’m cruising in the drops… granted, I carry a couple extra kilos but they’re on Roval and DT Swiss of similar depth.

4454 as well. They run fast and I’ve never had any issues with them. Here they are from last spring.

Just set up a Superdura Dynamo Disc Wheelset.

  1. Super easy to set up tubeless. Both a Conti GP5000 S TR and Schwalbe Pro One TLE snapped into place with a single blast from the Air Shot and stayed there for subsequent sealant and valve stem installation. (Yes, I now have mismatched tires; holds head down in shame.)

  2. First ever dynamo light for me. Wow. Still waiting on delivery of my taillight, but wow.

  3. They feel bombproof which is what I want and need. I did lots of curb jumping and other stupid things on a 100K test ride with zero issues.

  4. Hunt branding on the wheels is not “in your face” loud, but it is permanent and not a sticker I can remove.
