Aftermarket chainrings for sram axs to use with p2m PM

I’ll try to find a way to upload the video but the big ring doesn’t “bite” the teeth fully so it doesn’t shift. It’s a failed shift

I placed the chain on the big ring and smallest cog at the back manually on this photo . Have about 2.5mm on the outside and 3mm on the inside

According to the mechanic, he’s used the guide and it either goes too much outwards so the chain drops on the drive side arm or if set inwards then it won’t shift at all. Apparently there isnt a sweet spot between the 2 adjustments

I found it really finicky to set up and ended up not using the guide past setting the height.
Like was either dropping to the outside or not picking up. Ended up doing it quarter turns at a time, I think I’ve got like .5mm clearance when in the big ring between the cage and the chain.

I haven’t read all the posts in this thread and IDK if it’s be brought up, but the ramps and lift pins on the back of a big ring are designed to work with a specific size small ring. If a different size small ring is used, then the lift pins and ramps won’t phase properly with the chain during up-shifts. This increases the chances of problems with shifting, like not shifting or dropping the chain to the outside of the big ring.

I just use whatever. If there’s an issue, it was always because it was an 11sp ring advertised as 12sp.
