another idea (sorry if already mentioned…threads gotten long!) would be to keep 2 hours but have timestamps to navigate to what you want to hear
Those get added to most podcast streams and Youtube via chapters, a short bit of time after they are released.
whoops! I typically listen on carplay so dont easily see that stuff!
One suggestion for event-specific athlete interviews (to answer the question brought up in AACC 360 approximately 5 minutes in) - why not make these part of the Successful Athletes podcast? Particularly if the athletes you’re interviewing are TR users.
I listen/watch the podcast on Friday mornings when I do my 1.5 hour TR workout; finish listen to the episode on my drive to work. So having at least 1.5 hour podcast would be great.
I always watch (not live) on YouTube whilst doing workouts but always as x 1.5 speed so less time!
it’s ridiculous to complain about something you can easily pause and resume. I almost never listen to the entire podcast in one sitting as I mostly listen to podcasts while driving.
You can always have a more frequent schedule of shorter duration episodes and also have a longer duration episode once a month.
Back in my day, if you missed something, you’d have to figure out where to put the needle back to on the wax cylinder. It was a nightmare
I really don’t care how long it is, and can keep up with about 2 hours of content per week (however you roll it out). But I’m not a fan of the idea of eliminating guests like @AlexWild (at least according to his IG story). The broader TR family brings a lot to the table IMO.
That’s really surprising. It’ll be a real shame if Alex, Keegan, Pete etc can’t fill in (as their schedules suit) when the hosts are away etc.
I do really like the vibe of the original crew, but have really enjoyed following the careers of Keegan and Alex who I otherwise wouldn’t have had an interest in. I do understand Sofia has sponsor conflicts which makes it a bit difficult.
There’s been some great episodes early on when Keegan was at the same accom and racing the same race (in the Pro category) as all three of Nate, Chad, and Jonathan.
Man, I don’t envy Jonathan’s job of trying to please everybody here ![]()
Was bummed to see this today.
I really like the original crew and am happy to see them all together most of the time. That said it’s great to mix it up here and there with guests like Alex.
I just came here to post the same! ![]()
I must admit, given a choice I’d have Jonathan, Nate, Chad and Amber every week…BUT do enjoy other presenters if regular crew can’t make it. Do miss Pete though!
Yeah this was disappointing. I love the original crew, but on days someone can’t make it, having Alex fill in would be great. Especially this year with the Lifetime Grand Prix happening. I would love to hear his insights on the races.
I love the OG team but I also really love when they mix it up, Ivy, Alex and Hannah bring a lot of cool and different aspects and experience to the table. I miss Pete too ![]()
This is a bummer. I really like the episodes that bring in semi permanent guests like @AlexWild . @Jonathan I know you guys cannot keep everyone happy, but please reconsider this and keep bringing back Alex and Keegan to fill in as needed. Great to hear their perspectives.
Agreed, I was a fan of @AlexWild due to a/ having an awesome name, b/ having some great points/insights and c/ dropping some classic jokes (often missed by the other hosts it seemed!)
I can add a d/ for the cameo from the dog as well, always a bonus!
I dont comment a lot but @Jonathan I also liked @AlexWild and Hannah Otto on the show as guest hosts (along with all the other great guests you’ve had on). I love the OG crew and like the regularity of having them on but having other hosts on when it pertains to the topics of the show or when you need a fill in could be a way to keep that without a constantly rotating panel of hosts. It’d be a shame to lose that perspective (and Alex’s great humor)
Another one here wishing Alex, Keegan and Hannah were continuing guests on the podcast.
