frame weight of note?
You see the new Aethos on the website? I donât.
New wheels and cockpit are up on the website, not the bike. Bike doesnât officially release until Friday I believe. Somebodyâs home shop had one and a guy posted a picture on Reddit, which got taken down but I saved it before they took it down. There are some spy shots on Weight Weenies of the red paint job from above. The guy who came in 2nd in the Everesting World Champs was riding it.
Lighter than the current one if rumors are to be believed.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Huge stack of spacers, chain in the worst position. I know itâs a spy shotâŚ.but ![]()
I kinda dig the color. Though I prefer logos on the downtube. Not that Iâm an s-works customer anyway
You need that red one farther up the thread! You would shred even more KOMâs!!!
wanna take gusses, at full build weight w red? S works? I am guessing claimed will be at 12.8oz lb flat. Yall?
Hereâs the page for a shop in Australia.
9,000 AUD is about 5,000 Euro, equipped with Force ![]()
Red build is 5.98kg for size 56.
They took it down
Ahh OK.
It was 7.05kg with Force AXS
Its up on speshâs website
Agree with all of this. Out of interest (and a bit off topic) what do you think of the Enve Fray? Other than the price it looks to be pretty much my ideal endurance road/light offroad bike. Optimised around 31-35mm tyres with room for up to 40mm.
It looks like Aethos 2 has the ugliest headset integration on the market. Also the top of the head tube is looking weird
Have to say the gloss red is very prettyâŚ
For the record now that itâs out, this was correct. The description says âClears 35mm with easeâ. Unfortunately, doesnât follow up with âbut you could squeeze x in there if you were willing to risk itâ.
Thatâs a good tip. I had forgotten about the Fray. I actually looked at it and almost pulled the trigger. Not a weight weenie but looks very capable. I think I was debating sizing down. But, yea, Iâm going to consider this.
I think I read 35mm clearance with 4mm all around. So could maybe squeeze a 40 but depends on the wheel.
