Can someone confirm with 100% certainty that this bike can clear RaceKing 2.2s with some room for mud? Thanks
Not exactly what you asked for, but be aware that the Revolt has larger tire clearance in the short (or long, now I’m confused heheh) position on the flip chip dropout. This means that the geometry and measuments will change a tiny bit.
Which revolt are you considering?
Depends on your definition of “some”. Not as tight as a MOG, but fairly tight. I’ve seen people run them and it’s enough room for a little mud/rock clearance, but it’s pretty tight. I certainly wouldn’t run them for a wet day at Unbound, mid south, valley of tears, or any course where sticky mud builds on tires. Officially, I think the latest revolt is 53mm clearance. On a 25mm IR rim, a race king is about 56mm. So, good enough for most conditions I’d say.
Not sure yet. Pretty early in my search process
I’ve tried 2.2 RK’s on my revolt and I shaved the hairs off the back one so they wouldn’t rub on my frame if that gives you a good indication. Enough room for the tire comfortably, but the hairs touched and I wouldn’t run those at something muddy personally on that bike.
