I was just assuming Massi won’t be able to afford her, like someone paying to break her contract. But don’t know for sure.
Not at the WC level anyway, and I was surprised when I found out about that this year. At the start of the season I predicted one of the upper tier riders would sign for them, but clearly I was wrong.
Did a quick google search, and I didn’t see anything about how long Loana’s contract was, so it’s hard to say. Usually when there’s a rider of this caliber out of contract, there’s some rumors, and I haven’t heard anything yet at least.
Maybe the Santa Cruz Italian team? They made a splash last year with Marotte
USA!
Exciting race with too many punctures, but Blevins helping men’s XCO racing. Whoa, first US win since 1994.
Great wins for Blevin and Richards
Chris Blevins was like a cat waiting to pounce on his prey…always in the top 5…so controlled and smart the whole race.
I was wondering where Avancini went as tons of riders finished, then saw him ride in on his rim with no tire at all. Crazy. Good thing he was riding a lefty!
A big weekend of racing coming up with Roubaix for the men and women and the XC Marathon World Championships!
Looks like an epic course in Elba, Italy!
Friends of the pod Keegan and Alex are both over there and looking to be in great form. I didn’t realise Nino and the Scott SRAM team were going to make the effort to get there. I’d have figured he’d be having a break before Cape Epic. David Valero should be one to watch I think. Though I hope Alex Wild has a big result. I’ll be very interested to watch Nino but wouldn’t expect him to necessarily have given it the focus it may require .
Looks like streaming is on GCN+ and Flo this year instead of the previous YouTube of past years.
Also available on YouTube .
Hopefully available for us in Australia and New Zealand at least. There are geo restrictions, but I’m hoping that is only to Europe where it’s being provided by Eurosport/GCN+.
Go Wild @AlexWild
The marathon worlds were really good to watch! Was not expecting that good of a race and footage but they did a really good job. The lead packs were followed by motos with cameras and there was drone footage to supplement that. Its actually really good trainer-time watching because of the camera perspective and the wide open course helped the viewers see what was coming up (WC Ski areas courses don’t lend themselves to this type of filming). They could have had a bit better course info to help the viewer orient where the riders were but really a good watch. Nino was in the mix at the start and the women’s was almost a better race than the men’s. Check it out if you have time!
