What’s everyone planning on running for tires in 2020? I’m between racing Ralph, Aspen, rekon race, and ikon Any news on anything new coming out?

no, i’ve binned them already this this last one was a pinch that also damaged at the bead. My punctures are always in the blank area between lugs - where there’s no lug to protect casing

Has anyone tried the 2.4 Aspen’s yet? Will they make me as fast as Nino?

Maybe you could be as fast as Nino if you could get the “pro only” 170 TPI version. The rest of us lowly mortals have to settle for the 120 TPI version.

The 2.4 is not available yet. Soon. And no talk of specialized tires because they’re the easiest to flat tire of any in production.

If you read carefully, he’s testing with tubes in the tires too.

Finally received them 1309g with Carbon-Ti Hubs 28/32 spokes and 28mm id, Ashima Rotors but no Casette mounted yet. So final weight is yet to be determined. They are looking slick though [image]

FWIW, I recall the TR guys saying they asked the guy who runs bicyclerollingresistance.com to test the new Aspen. And the result now included in the site I linked to.
