I am going to try to use the TwistLoc for my lock out and then the normal Reverb AXS controller.
Otherwise @Kuttermax has managed to have both lock outs installed and has made it work well ergonomically. That is my plan B.

Does the wireless feature of the AXS make up for the weight penalty? Itās one of the more heavier options, especially for XC.
Interesting question. I am no pro, so the āXC courses become more and more technicallyā doesnāt really apply to me. Iām upgrading my bike and I am in doubt whether I go first for a dropper post (Reverb) or a power meter. Road bike has power meter, MTB not.
The AXS dropper is about 60 - 70 gm more than a Bike Yoke or Fox Transfer dropper. For me Iād say that puts it in the inconsequential department.
I think the bigger question is whether the price premium is worth it or not. Iāve been really happy with the AXS performance, but also like knowing Iām carrying around a spare battery for my Eagle AXS if something ever happened and I needed to swap to it. The ability to swap to a standard post very easily is also really nice.
It was interesting to see in the XC Olympic World Championships Yana Belomoina had an issue with her AXS dropper. Bad that she had an issue, but good that it was easy for the pit crew to pull it and pull
in a standard post. However you could see it was much more difficult for her on the technical descents with the standard post.
Bascially I chose it partly out of vanity and partly because of the ease of installation - and ability to swap to a standard post.
Also, I saved about 15% on my 2021 model - so I put some of that towards the more expensive dropper.
And at some point i recon I will replace the GX with AXS - so the battery argument come into play.
I saw that and I think it was a regular post not AXS. I remember seeing the mechanic snipping the cable.
Ah, missed that. I guess good then that it wasnāt an AXS that failedā¦
What is the first upgrade?
Power meter? Dropper? AXS?
In that order?
That is probably the order I would choose.
I am adding the Power meter and dropper straight away. The dealer is basically buying the old GX crankset from me and installing a Rotor inPower.
AXS gear will be if / when the GX wears out or if I suddenly feel flush. That said, I would probably upgrade other bits before then.
Not a completely fair comparison given different drop lengths but a Divine SL is sub 400 grams.
Thatās right. I changed to a Divine SL on my Epic EVO after my AXS Reverb died by itself after 1 month of use. Bikeyokes are light and solid and for me thatās the most important thing.
It has passed 2 months and still waiting for a warranty replace of the AXS.
And yes, Belamoina had a mechanical dropper because her mechanic had to cut the wire at the remote.
