2020 WC XCO, XCC Racing is back

USA #4 in the Team Relay?

That seems like a great result! Nice job!

Looks like a super muddy course!

That won’t suit Nino much.

That looks like great fun.
I wish the xc races in the UK had tracks like that!

Wow Annika Langvad has just announced her retirement from pro racing - and will not race the world champs tomorrow due to a stomach bug.

Bummer, I’m sure that’s not how she’d have wanted to end her career. She was definitely off last week in Nove Mesto too.

It’s a shame to see her go as I enjoyed watching her domination at the Cape Epic and other stage races. In terms of horse power, she’s the strongest rider out there and I’m sure she had some decent xc results left in her.

I wonder if she’ll still compete on the road? The GCN guys were picking her for some of the classics etc so I agree, she must still have some horsepower.
I wonder if she has just lost the punch that made her dominant in the XCC (and competitive in XCO) as she didn’t really ever seem to hit her straps last season either did she?

Perhaps, who knows??
I forgot about her road results, I think she made the podium on her 1st or 2nd classics race which was very impressive and a wake up call to the other riders in the field.

She trained to be a dentist some years ago and i think that is her future plans.

I’m sure there’s a joke there somewhere about her already riding S-Works bikes, but I can’t find it…

I almost made it, but thought better of it :slightly_smiling_face:

Super interesting he chooses a suspension lockout before a dropper. I mean, that’s really stunning. Gotta be quite a few seconds right there tossing that thing in the trash. Some people never learn!

Good call, definitely surprised me too. The timing is weird to me though. Why before the race?

Yes, now she can buy a Yeti.

Stomach issues, so can’t race anyway.

She may be sick but she REALLY hates racing in the mud. She always won with her horsepower, not technical skills.

Understood, just thought it might be nice to keep the focus on the last race of the year, let the race happen and then announce her retirement. She apparently was going to retire after the race anyway. Not a huge deal either way though.

Fair to say Absalon is celebrating this weekend. France is looking good!

It is!
However, same problem here…My bike has a dual remote lockout lever and I want the Reverb and don’t know how to solve the cockpit/controls issue.
Or I’ll buy the power meter first and invest in the dropper later…
